Graffiti and Street Art in Taipei, Taiwan. 臺北市電影主題公園 Taipei Cinema Park. To arrange an appointment for buying MTN spraypaint, go to www.facebook.com/citymarx , send a text before you are coming down. If you do not have facebook you can also come in the afternoon and ask around for Jimmy or MTN paint, there is a huge sculpture of Godzilla made out of recycled spraycans, the office behind it usually has CITYMARX members willing to help. We have all colours in stock all year round. If you want to paint in this hall of fame you can ask a CITYMARX member for a spot, this is to prevent unwanted tension among other artists and to keep the fresh walls untouched for a while. For more info: www.citymarx.comMy first 30 minutes in Hong Kong I was quite overwhelmed. I wasn’t sure if all this infrastructure was really possible or if I was to wake up and it was all a dream. It’s not easy to compare this city with another since it is such a mix of countries, cultures, continents and different infrastructures. The journey to find a descent spot brought us to hidden spots like the www.dirty-panda.com graffiti supplies, to find some MTN 94 that i used on the rooftop of Pantone C (www.pantonegraffiti.com). It wasn’t my first time to find a legal spot on a rooftop since I had a similar experience in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and in Osaka Japan. It somehow gives a feeling of peace and serenity to be on top of the city with only the sky above you, the wall in front of you, the smell of paint, the city sounds of sirens, crazy rush hour horns and buzzing traffic. I was limited in time and I felt like putting up my citymarx www.citymarx.com and www.biki90.nl friends up as well as my name so I decided to rock another e2e graffiti spaceship in a black and blue galaxy. #graffiti #hong kong #fleks #spaceship #e2e #mtn #pantone #dirty panda #rooftop #street art #biki90 #citymarxA travel program on german television asked Citymarx to do an interview about Taiwanese graffiti and street art, so we decided to extend the wall with my graffiti spaceship of two weeks before. It was a sunday afternoon well spent! I took care of the background, while Joker did a Citymarx piece and Bio rocked a science fiction graffiti tattoo manga character. Wang kept the host Betty busy with her first graffiti experience and introduction to the scene.
As Citymarx members, we were representing at the Converse S/S 2015 collection expo party last Tuesday which had some crazy new models and some exclusive sneakers on display. I was very happy to check out the FUTURA sneakers. Besides the booze and food they had some goodies for the ones wearing their sneakers at the event; a photo frame with a crisp sharp print of a photo of your pair of Converse sneakers! #Converse #Converse 2015 #citymarx Taipei #FUTURA #Futura lengend of graffiti #FLEKSDuring the weekend I transformed a part of the Ximen Ding street art area into a graffitied space station called Citymarx with a Citymarx graffiti spaceship. In the future people often think of spaceships as transportation methods, so since graffiti has always been expanding as a art form there will also be futuristic graffiti on the spaceships.

Located in Ubud in the beautiful Santa Mandala accomodation, I felt the urge to discover the island of Bali and at the same time transform the inspiration into the visible form of a painting. The mandala has got influences of the recent travels in Japan and Taiwan, including the famous mountain and wave, with a TAO dragon and yinyang symbol. It also shows the dynamics and inner struggles of mind, this dynamic is the "Chi". The golden look of this mandala is to show that the high value of these dynamics that are shaping the focus with the all seeing eye symbol, the focus on the future and our self as a center in the universe. The sharp edged circle on the outside is for the protection of the inner strength so only the power of will remains without negative distractions. |
